Exhibits & Programs at the International Scholar-Athlete Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame contains a number of exhibits on display and is open to the public between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The Hall of Fame is located in beautiful South County near the University of Rhode Island and some of the best beaches in England.

Artwork
A gallery displays artwork depicting sports all over the world.  The artwork in the gallery was donated by individuals and organization from over 125 countries.

Exhibit Hall and Museum
Permanent and/or changing exhibits feature memorabilia from the Hall of Fame's inductees, as well as hands-on interactive exhibits for all ages.

Sports Photography
Exhibits highlight photographs - both contemporary and historical - donated by sports federations worldwide.

New England Basketball Hall of Fame Exhibit
In 2007, the International Scholar-Athlete Hall of Fame hosted a special New England Basketball History exhibit. The exhibit featured memorabilia and other items that reflect the history and tradition of New England basketball. A special component of the exhibit was the presentation of Our Game: A Story of New England Basketball written by acclaimed author, Bill Reynolds, and published by the Hall of Fame Press.

Library
An extensive library offers a collection of rare books and periodicals on the history of sport and contemporary issues in sport.

Olympic Poster Exhibit
The International Scholar-Athlete Hall of Fame is honored to house one of two international collections of prized Olympic posters, dating back to the inaugural modern games of 1896.

Distinguished Lecture Series
The Lecture Series features presentations by internationally respected individuals in sports and the arts. Past speakers have included Bill Bradley, Sir Roger Bannister, Linda Bensel-Meyers, Stephen Dunn, and Senator George Mitchell.

Seminars
Periodic seminars address contemporary issues in sport.
